Def Jam/Urban Legends/UMe have announced that a special 30th Anniversary vinyl release of Slick Rick’s classic debut album The Great Adventures of Slick Rick will be available March 15, 2019.

As per the release announcement: “The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick—the debut album from Slick Rick, the inimitable British-American MC and third signing to Def Jam Recordings, is widely regarded as one of hip-hop’s seminal masterpieces. Originally released on November 1, 1988, The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick celebrates its historic 30th anniversary this week.”

“The package includes Rick’s first new original song since 1999, “Can’t Dance To A Track That Ain’t Got No Soul.” A previously unreleased track, “Snakes of the World Today,” written, recorded and produced by Slick Rick during sessions for the album, is available now for streaming and download purchase.”

The Great Adventures of Slick Rick standard and deluxe vinyl editions are available for pre-order now.
