This is just a reminder that Charles Bradley’s final album Black Velvet is coming out this Friday.
Bradley, who passed away in September of 2017, was the subject of the 2012 documentary Soul Of America and an important name in the mainstream soul revival. The title Black Velvet comes from the stage name Bradley used when he performed as a James Brown impersonator.
