Gregory Alan Isakov has announced that he will be releasing his fourth full-length studio album, Evening Machines, on October 5 via Dualtone Records. The 12-song album was recorded and self-produced by Isakov at his farm in Boulder County, Colorado and mixed by Tucker Martine (Neko Case, The Decemberists) and Andrew Berlin (Descendents, Rise Against).
Of the record, Isakov said: “I’d work really hard into the night. A lot of times I would find myself in the light of all these VU meters and the tape machine glow, so that’s where the title came from. I recorded mostly at night, when I wasn’t working in the gardens. It doesn’t matter if it’s summer or winter, morning or afternoon, this music always feels like evening to me.”
Iskakov is touring through the end of the year throughout Europe and North America in support of the album.
Evening Machines is available for pre-order now on limited edition gray vinyl.
