Tenor saxophone great Joe Lovano has announced that he will be releasing a new album Trio Tapestry in 2019 via Blue Note. Tapestry features pianist Marilyn Crispell and drummer Carmen Castaldi led by Lovano on saxophone.
The upcoming album was produced by Manfred Eicher at New York’s Sear Sound studio. Lovano calls the album tracks “some of the most intimate and personal music I’ve recorded so far.” He added, “this recording is a statement of where I am, where I’ve been and where I may be headed.”
