After 12 years performing solo, David Bazan has reformed Pedro the Lion and announced a new album, Phoenix. The first Pedro the Lion album since 2004’s Achilles Heel, Phoenix will be available on January 18th via Polyvinyl Records.

According to Polyvinyl’s album announcement: “Phoenix maps out the emotional intricacies of growing up in Arizona with the songs themselves a darkly hopeful introspection into home and what it means to go back, if you ever can. It is an ode to the place Bazan still loves despite how alien it can appear to him now. Phoenix is the proof that when we look for home we eventually run into it again, whether it’s in the desert, in a rehearsal space, or on a stage.”

Phoenix is available for pre-order now as an early bird edition 180gram 2xLP “seafoam w/maroon splatter” limited to 1500 copies.
